Today in class
We talked about we talked about demographic Transition. This model shows th 4 stages countries go through. We looked up a graph online and read from page 22. We talked about how many countries who are developing are in Stage 1 while developed nations like us are at stage 4. Stage 1 is when there is no health measurements so there is high death rates and low death rates so the population is low. when in stage 2 health measurements get better so there is less deaths but, more people are still being born to keep population up. So the Rate of natural increase rises. Stage 3 people notice the benefits in small families and begin to have less kids. health measurements are high so less death and the population begins to peak. Stage 4 is an example of developed countries like the USA and Japan. they have good food resources, great health, and good family plans. For example marriages will come later with children born when older unlike Stage 1 countries were most younger women have babies sooner.
